Teaching

I have taught at National Cheng-chi University, the American University of Paris, the University of California, Berkeley, and San Quentin State Prison, through the Prison University Project. I have offered courses related to the histories of modern Europe, modern East Asia (China, Japan, and Korea), global history, the history of religion, and the history of medicine.

At the American University of Paris, I was the recipient of teaching awards, including the Distinguished Teaching Award in 2015, given by the Board of Trustees to one faculty member, and "Professor of the Year" in 2014 and 2016, awarded by the Student Government Association.

I currently teach a course every spring at the National Cheng-chi University history department.
